Motorcycles are an underutilized avenue of transportation that is totally under-utilized in America. They  have the capability to further the efficiency of the current transportation system in the U.S. According to Motorcycle data 2023 was the best selling year for motorcycles in history with nearly 500,000 individual sales.

     Motorcycles are a more efficient use of space as a means of transportation, Around half the size of a car. A motorcycle makes better use of the size of roads and motorways that were originally built for cars and trucks. A staggered formation of bikes can easily fit three people in the space of one car, tripling the effectiveness of a single roadway.

     Motorcycles also make much better use of parking spaces, fitting two bikes in a single space allows parking lots to be half the size while maintaining the same holding capacity.

     Bikes are much more fuel efficient than their four-wheeled counterparts; achieving upwards of 55 mpg compared to a car’s 20. Motorcycles are able to make better use of the gas, and when refueling, a car is twice as expensive compared to a bike.

     Bikes are cheaper, more efficient, and better suited for daily use on American roadways.
