With the NFL Regular Season coming to a close, the playoffs are upon us. 14 teams are left with a chance to be called Super Bowl Champion. While their chances may vary, anything can happen in the NFL, and anyone has a chance to make history.
The AFC’s #1 seed Baltimore Ravens is led by MVP favorite quarterback Lamar Jackson and a top ranked defense, while the NFC’s top team the San Francisco 49ers roster is littered with stars on both sides of the ball like Christian McCafferey and Fred Warner. Each team received a 1st round bye in the playoffs and are the two betting favorites to win it all.
“Baltimore is the most complete team; they have the most energy. I feel like they have the best chance to win it all,” senior RJ Oakely said.
“San Fran is really good; they have so many good players on both sides I don’t know how you can really stop them,” sophomore Max Karras said.
Along with the one seeds, other teams have a chance of going all the way. Defending Super Bowl champs Kansas City Chiefs have struggled a bit this year on offense, but anything is possible with superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes as they matchup with the Miami Dolphins. The team they beat in the Super Bowl, the Philadelphia Eagles, also look to get another chance at the Lombardi trophy as they head to Tampa Bay to face the Buccaneers.
Some new faces have entered the playoffs this year as well. The Detroit Lions won their first division title since 1993 this year, and the Houston Texans won their division led by exceptional rookie quarterback CJ Stroud.
These teams and all the others who made the playoffs all have one goal: win the Super Bowl. Only one team will come out on top however, so the question arises once again: who’s gonna win it all?
