Following a federal ruling, information regarding infamous sex criminal Jeffery Epstein began to be released on Jan. 4th.
These papers include the names of Epstein’s accusers and associates, including prominent politicians, businesspeople, and social figures. The now-public documents include mentions of figures such as Prince Andrew, Bill Clinton, and Stephen Hawking. Some of this information provides further information on previously accused figures, while some details their relationship with Epstein without mentioning sexual misconduct.
“I think the list coming out is definitely going to change a lot of perspectives on celebrities,” senior MacKenzie Brunton said.
This unsealing will not be the first Gen Z has heard about Epstein or the crimes that took place at his infamous private island. He has long since been a “meme” among the young generation, which some expect to continue with the release of this information.
“I’ve definitely heard some jokes about the island,” senior Hex Kats said. “I think teenagers will take this as a joking matter. People aren’t very good at bedside manners.”
