The Stanley Cup’s revenue has gone up over 1000% from about 94 million in 2020 to 750 million in 2023 according to CNBC.
The Stanley Cup first began being recognized over the course of multiple videos in 2019. The cup, made with 90% recycled material and offered in an array of colors, has prompted fans to grab the cups as soon as a new design wave is released.
“It was just trend, [and] I like how many color options there were,” freshman Madison Buckelew said.
As the Stanley Cup becomes more popular, competitors rear their heads. Recently, Hydroflask is making newer models to match Stanley’s sales and popularity.
“I think there should be less weight on the top half because it makes it easier to tip over, and if it was skinnier like a Konokyo or another brand, it would fall less,” freshman Braxton McGinniss said.
As the Stanley Cup trend grows and evolves most users will continue to say the Stanley Cup is a great addition to their everyday life.
