After a 9-4 win against Marvin Ridge led by senior and Rice University commit Cole Green, Sun Valley took game one of a three game set against the Porter Ridge Pirates 7-5.
The Rice commit went three-for-four with two doubles and a stolen base in the game. Green also got the two inning save to clinch the 7-5 win as he struck out a batter and walked another in the seventh and final inning.
Junior Robert Jackson ended up notching his second win on the year as he pitched 5 innings, gave up four runs, walked three batters, and struck out eight on 106 pitches.
